Most recent update by Google is the Panda 4.2
Google Panda 4.2 Google is taking their time rolling it out after we have waited over 10 months for the upgrade:
Google learned from the last time they updated the Panda algorithms that a significant change can cause major panic and many more people will notice the major impact when it all happens at once. Since they are aware of the negative impact the changes can have on a company and search, this last update that started in July is taking 2 months to roll out all the updates.
The update seems to be impacting specific algorithms tied to language as Google said this update will affect only about 2-3% of English language queries. This update will also sweep sites that were penalized by Panda in the last update to hopefully emerge if you made the right changes to your business site.
Most of the past Panda updates were not slow and steady there was instant increase or decline in results of Google traffic. This tells us that we need to pay attention to what the search results look like for online traffic before July and after September comparison in order to see if the update had a significant impact.
